The Fourth Stage of the Qualification Exam Has Been Scheduled (Completion of a Practical Assignment in the Specialisation of the Relevant Court)

Please be informed, that on September 19, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took a decision to schedule the fourth stage of the qualification exam (completion of a practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court) for candidates applying for the position of a local court judge and for judges who have expressed their intention to be transferred to another local court, as well as to establish the timetable for its administration.

In case of any discrepancy in the participant’s surname indicated in the list, particularly due to a change of surname, it is necessary to immediately inform the Commission by phone at (044) 233-63-85 and to bring to the stage of the qualification examination a document confirming the relevant change.

To facilitate the participation of candidates for the position of judge and judges who are military personnel in the fourth stage of the qualification exam, the Commission has determined that, upon a written request by a participant who is a servicemen, the date for completing the practical assignment may be rescheduled within the established timetables for each specialisation separately.

The practical assignment will be carried out in the premises of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, located at: 9, General Shapoval Street, Kyiv.

The practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court will be completed using computer equipment.

The duration of the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court is 180 minutes.

The maximum possible score at the stage of completing the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court is 150 points.

Participants within one specialisation complete a single type 2 assignment.

According to the specified Methodological Guidelines, the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court, performed during the qualification exam, shall be assessed on a scale of 75 points.

In order to bring the number of points obtained by the participant for the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court, completed and assessed in the information system, to the maximum possible score (150 points), a coefficient of 2 shall be applied.

The passing score for the fourth stage of the qualification exam (completion of the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court) is 75 percent of the maximum possible score, or 112.5 points.

Individual codes for completing the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court are determined randomly using the method of automated generation (via the information system).

The workstation for completing the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court is determined randomly by means of blind selection by the participant among printed options placed before him/her in a concealed random order.
