On June 28, Ukraine celebrates one of its key national holidays – Constitution Day. We extend our heartfelt greetings to the judiciary, members of the legal community, and all citizens on this significant occasion.
The adoption of the Constitution in 1996 was a landmark event on the path to establishing a democratic, rule-of-law-based, and sovereign state. The Fundamental Law of Ukraine enshrines inviolable principles and universal human values – the rule of law, human dignity, freedom, justice, and the independence of the judiciary.
In today’s realities, as Ukraine continues its struggle for statehood and a European future, the significance of the Constitution as the foundation of national unity, legality, and the rule of law becomes ever more important.
Constitution Day serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to uphold the fundamental principles of a democratic society.
