Two candidates continue to participate in the competition to the High Anti-Corruption Court

18.02.2025

On February 17, 2025, as part of competition to the High Anti-Corruption Court, a special joint meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine (HQCJU) and the Public Council of International Experts (PCIE) was held to evaluate the candidates' compliance with the criteria stipulated in Part Four of Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On the High Anti-Corruption Court”.

It should be noted that a candidate was deemed to meet the criteria and continue to participate in the competition if a majority of the joint composition of the HQCJU and PCIE voted for this decision, provided that at least half of the PCIE members voted for it.

Based on the results of the vote, the HQCJU and PCIE decided:

Two candidates will continue participating in the competition to the High Anti-Corruption Court as a first-instance court:

  • Tetiana Lytvynko
  • Olena Chernova

Five candidates were disqualified from the competition:

  • Yurii Bodnaruk
  • Oleh Kimstachov
  • Kateryna Kotelva
  • Kyrylo Lehkykh
  • Mykhailo Odariuk

It should be noted that on February 06 and 07, 2025, special joint meetings were held with seven candidates to determine whether the participants of the competition met the criteria of integrity (morality, honesty, probity), namely the legality of the sources of property, the compliance of the candidate’s or his family members’ standard of living with the declared income, the compliance of the candidate’s lifestyle with his or her status, and the availability of knowledge and practical skills to consider cases within the jurisdiction of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
